At Blue Sky Independent School, safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to creating a safe, secure, and supportive environment where every child can learn, grow, and thrive.
We believe that all children have the right to be protected from harm, abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
Our staff are trained to recognise signs of concern and to take action quickly to keep children safe. Safeguarding runs through all aspects of school life, from daily routines and classroom practice to outdoor learning and community activities.

Our approach includes:
-
Ensuring all staff and volunteers receive regular safeguarding training.
-
Following safer recruitment processes when appointing new staff.
-
Having clear procedures for reporting and responding to concerns.
-
Teaching children how to stay safe, including online safety and personal well-being.
-
Working in partnership with parents, carers, and external agencies to provide the best protection and care.
-
We also promote a culture where children feel listened to, respected, and supported. Every child is encouraged to speak up if they feel worried, and we take their concerns seriously.
