Curriculum at Blue Sky independent school

At Blue Sky Independent School, our curriculum is designed to provide a broad, balanced and personalised learning experience that meets the individual needs of our pupils. Many of our pupils have social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), and our approach supports both academic progress and emotional development.

Our curriculum aims to develop confidence, resilience and independence, while ensuring pupils gain the knowledge and skills needed to progress successfully into the next stage of education, training, employment and adult life.

Learning is delivered through a combination of academic subjects, therapeutic support, practical experiences and outdoor learning, allowing pupils to develop both academically and personally.

We provide opportunities for pupils to learn at their own pace while building key skills such as communication, problem-solving, emotional regulation and independence.

The curriculum is designed to prepare pupils for the next stage of their education and for adult life, enabling them to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to participate positively in society.
